I offer this for the consideration of the group. I found that tuning the guitar
to open D, therefore from bass to treble, D,G,D,G,B,D (Keith Richard's favourite)
that you get a pretty interesting version of Fast Car when played

As you get better with the finger picking style you can add more of the open G
chord - you also tend to get the open string "ringing sound" that is part of the
CD the rest of the song is as per posted with the chords played in the altered tuning.
