That part looks wierd tabbed out note for note, but that's actually tremolo picking right there

The verse plays again, but there are some small variations, they're just open D 
plam muted power chords.

Then back into the chorus, same as last time, but at the end, another guitar does this.

That's played a few times, with this one little fill that I fail-bike at figuring 
out, and a whammy dip on one of the open D's, followed by a build up of simply 
open D power chords, with this lead thing near the end.
