Alternate tuning tab
I played around with alternate tunings and came up with this which
sounds pretty good to me. It's a slack tuning, meaning strings are
lowered in pitch by slackening the tension. You tune the strings (low
to high) to: D-A-D-G-A-C#. You can do this by tuning the 1st string
(the high e) down until it matches the sound of the 2nd string played
on the 2nd fret (C#). Then tune the 2nd string down until it matches
the sound of the 3rd string played on the 2nd fret. Finally, tune the
6th string down two semi-tones to D. You can tune it so that it
sounds an octive lower than the 4th string. If you're not good at
hearing octives, tune it so the 6th string played on the 12th fret
matches the 4th string. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th strings are not
altered.
