------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Legs - Jer Coons ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Tad Tenacious Email:easycorepunk@hotmail.com This is my first tab. I first saw this guy on youtube and decided to learn this song and that there was a great demand for a tab. I'm sort of mixing the "live" acoustic version youtube with the studio version. If you have corrections, I don't really care. My on tablature is that it is a starting point if you are lost trying to learn the song ear. Every guitarist should work to develop his or her own ear anyway. I know this site that they are not big on intros or solos, but the intro to the song is what initially me to this song. Plus the chord structure of the intro is the chord structure of the chorus For the sake of simplicity, I am going to leave out the rhythm involving chords. Tuning: Standard Intro: A F#m7 A C#m7 e|----5-----12------------------------------------------------------------------| B|----5-----10-------14------9---------------------9----------------------------| G|----6-----9--------14------9--------------9------9h11p9--------9--------------| D|----7-----11-------14------9--------9/11-----11-----------11-9-9h11p9---------| A|----0-----9--------12------x------------------------------------------12------| E|---------------------------9--------------------------------------------------| D F#m7 C#m7 e|---------------------------------12-------------------------------------------| B|--------7----------7-------------10--------9----------------------------------| G|--------7----------7-------------9---------9-----9------9---------------------| D|--------7----------7-------------11--------9-----9h11p9-9h11p9----------------| A|------5-5---5\4/5------------9---9---------x--------------------12------------| E|------------------------------------------9-----------------------------------| Verse: Play each chord one measure each. The very last chord(C#7) is arpeggiated a little. A E7 D E7 2nd time through Repeat: A E7 D then C#7 e|----5-----------------------------------------------------9-------------------| B|----5-------9------7----9---------------------------------9-------------------| G|----6-------7------7----7---------------------------------10------------------| D|----7-------x------x----x---------------------------------9-------------------| A|----0-------7------5----7---------------------------------11------------------| E|----------------------------------------------------------9-------------------| Prechorus: D for 1 measure, F#m7, C#m7 repeat 2x then play D for 1 measure and then E. e|--------------12----------------------------------------------0---------------| B|----7---------10-------9--------------------------------------0---------------| G|----7---------9--------9--------------------------------------1---------------| D|----7---------11-------9--------------------------------------2---------------| A|----5---------9--------x--------------------------------------2---------------| E|-----------------------9--------------------------------------0---------------| Chorus: Same chord structure as the Intro. Jer occasionally plays a lead part between chords while singing. You can either just strum these chords or revert back to the intro. A F#m7 A C#m7 D F#m7 C#m7 Repeat 1x e|----5------12-----------------------------------------------------------------| B|----5------10-----14------9-------7-------------------------------------------| G|----6------9------14------9-------7-------------------------------------------| D|----7------11-----14------9-------7-------------------------------------------| A|----0------9------12------x-------5-------------------------------------------| E|--------------------------9---------------------------------------------------| The chord structure after the first Chorus is basically the last 4 bars of the Verse on studio version: A E7 D C#7 Then play the verse as normal, then the prechorus, and then the chorus. Bridge: The studio version of the Bridge has a lot of layers in it. You can alter the or substitute a few of the chords and it will still sound fine. F#m7 F#m7t9 repeat 1x D Dmaj7t9 Bm Repeat all of this 4x e|-----------------------------------------------7------------------------------| B|------10-----9----------------------7---6------7------------------------------| G|------9------9-------------9h11-----7---6------7------------------------------| D|------x------x----------------------x---x-------------------------------------| A|------9------9----------------------5---5-------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| D E Repeat 1x e|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| B|-----7------9-----------------------------------------------------------------| G|-----7------9-----------------------------------------------------------------| D|-----7------9-----------------------------------------------------------------| A|-----5------7-----------------------------------------------------------------| E|------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Then play the chorus. | / slide up | \ slide down | h hammer-on | p pull-off | ~ vibrato | + harmonic | x Mute note ===============================================================================
