You will want to mute the notes quickly after playing them to achieve that electronic staccato feel For the same reason, I prefer playing this song from a starting position on the E string's 6th fret - but how and where it sounds the best will depend on your bass. Also, try to avoid using a plectrum, as it most likely will ruin the feel.
