SOMETHING IN THE WATER - BROOKE FRASER
Tabbed by: Phinda and Vela
Email: velaphinda@yahoo.com
This is yet another amazing Brooke Fraser song (she is crazy talented) released on 2nd August
2010 the following chords that I used sound about 98% correct- I'm so excited -but if you
like to make any corrections, please do, this is my first tab so don't be too harsh. Be blessed.
I got the lyrics from http://www.allyrics.net/Brooke-Fraser/lyrics/Something-In-The-Water/
Standard tuning: No capo
Basically to simplify things (because I dont know how to explain fully in words how the C
to Csus4 hammer changes happen-it's similar to the Mumford and Sons-'Little lion man' vibe)
just play short quick down muted strums... just listen to how Brooke plays it in
the song, then you'll know what I mean.
In the pre-chorus ('give me nights of solitude...') The F and C chord sound better when hammer
on, on your middle finger, if you listen to the song you're more than likely just
to feel it and if this confuses you leave it out. The down strums for the chorus
for the (F Am G chords) sound better using more obvious, harder down strums ie.
Don't mute the strings as much. Again in the the same(F Am G chords) F is for the
first 3 'ah's and the Am for the next 2 and the G for the last 'ah'.
NOTE: at all times avoid playing bottom E and B string it sounds tacky and irritating
-except when playing a single down strum.
I have done an electric guitar part for it but too lazy to tab it out if high demand I will,
e-mail me. It is basically the piano part on electric guitar.
sigh... enough talking
