Here is the acoustic guitar part for the Black Crowes' "She Talks To Angels".
Chris Robinson's guitar is tuned to an Open E chord. I sort of stumbled
onto this fact when I was I was trying to learn another tune that was in
Open E. Most of this I figured out by ear, some I picked up from the
Crowes' appearance in MTV Unplugged. I'm not claiming it's 100%
accurate, and I haven't included any strict timing indicators. Use this
tab as a guide, and listen to the recording to get a feel for the timing
and chord changes.
To tune to Open E, raise the 5th (A) string to B (full tone)
raise the 4th (D) string to E (full tone)
raise the 3rd (G) string to G# (half tone)
As usual: h = hammer on
p = pull off
s = slide
The characters ^ and v below the tab indicate suggested strumming patterns
for chord sections (^ = strum up, towards the ceiling, v = strum down)

VERSES (all verses are played the same, no chord for the first half,
------ and then the strumming pattern below for the second half)
1. She never mentions the word addiction
In certain company
Yes, she'll tell you she's an orphan
After you meet her family
2. She paints her eyes black as night now
Pulls those shades down tight
Yeah she gives a smile when the pain comes
The pain gonna make everything alright, alright
3. She keeps a lock of hair in her pocket
She wears a cross around her neck
Yes, the hair is from the little boy
And the cross is someone she has not met, not yet

The first thing you want to do is tune your guitar. Rich Robinson plays
in open D tuning to get a loose feel for the strings, but most
transcriptions that've been published are in open E.
For open E tuning, you start with the regular tuning, EADGBE (low to
high), and you tune the ADG strings up to BEG# respectively. So you end
up with EBE(G#)BE.
For open D tuning, you'll like this a lot better, you do the same and
then drop every string a whole step: you end up with DAD(F#)AD. Rich
then capos at the 2nd fret, so you end up with open E-tuning anyway, but
there is a big difference in the feel.

Well, that's all the parts. The intro parts are repeated in the middle
of the song. That last stuff after the semicolons is the breakdown right
before the intro is repeated. The stuff before the semicolons is the
chorus riff. Hope this helps. Enjoy. And remember, all this tab is
recordes as if the capo is invisible and the nut is at the second fret
(for dropped D).
