Mr Tambourine Man by Bob Dylan ---------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan ---------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Ryan Ilano email: ryanilano@hotmail.com Drop D tuning. Capo on 3rd fret, all chords relative to capo. Very fun song to play, kind of difficult to follow because Mr. Dylan likes to switch up how long the verses are, and use different structures for each verse. There are 4 verses, and each verse has 2 halves that make 1 whole verse. I'll be referring to the first half of the verse as "A", and the second half as "B". There are 5 variations of each verse. 1a,2a,3a,3b,4a Mr. Dylan uses a combination of those variations in each of his verses. (ex. Verse 4 is 4a & 3a or Verse 2 is 2a & 1a) The only part of the song that is set in stone is the Chorus. His pre-verses vary, but I'll tab those out. Introduction strum lightly, and follow the rhythm. e------2----0----2----0-------------------------------| b------3----3----3----3-------------------------------| g------2----2----2----2-------------------------------| d------0----0----0----0-------------------------------| a------0----0----0----0-------------------------------| E-----0----0----0----0--------------------------------| Chorus X2 ...Hey Mr. Tambourine man... e---3---------2----3----2---3---------------------------------------| b---3---------3----3----3---3---------------------------------------| g---0----2----2----0----2---0----2----------------------------------| d---0----2----0----0----0---0----2----------------------------------| a---2----0----0----2----0---2----0----------------------------------| E--------2-----------------------2----------------------------------| Pre-verse 1 e---2----0---3---2-----------------------------------------------| b---3----3---3---3-----------------------------------------------| g---2----2---2---2-----------------------------------------------| d---0----0---0---0-----------------------------------------------| a---0----0---0---0-----------------------------------------------| E----------------------------------------------------------------| Pre-verse 2 e---2----0---3---2---0----3----------------------------------------| b---3----3---3---3---3----3----------------------------------------| g---2----2---2---2---2----2----------------------------------------| d---0----0---0---0---0----0----------------------------------------| a---0----0---0---0---0----0----------------------------------------| E------------------------------------------------------------------| Best thing to do is to memorize each variation of the verses, and follow the song order at the bottom. Follow the rhythm of strumming, and it'll be easy. Let's party.
