Bowl Of Oranges by Bright Eyes C G The rain it started tappin, on the window near my bed Dm G There was a loophole in my dreamin, so I got out of it Am F And to my surprise my eyes were wide and already open Dm G To my nightstand and my dresser where those nightmares had just been C G So I dressed myself and left them, out into the grey streets Dm G But everything seemed different, completely new to me Am F The sky, the trees, houses, buildings, even my own body Dm G And each person I encountered, I couldn’t wait to meet C G And I came upon a doctor, who appeared in quite poor health Dm G I said there’s nothing that I can do for you that you can’t do for yourself Am F He said “Oh yes you can just hold my hand, I think that that would help” Dm G So I sat with him a while, and I asked him how he felt He said "I think I'm cured. In fact I'm sure.
