Searching For My Love by Bobby Moore #----------------------------------PLEASE NOTE--------------------------------# #This file is the author's own work and represents their interpretation of the# #song. You may only use this file for private study, scholarship, or research.# #-----------------------------------------------------------------------------# This came out on Chess (actually Checker 1129), but Bobby Moore and the Rhythm Aces weren't from Chicago; they were actually from Birmingham and recorded this at Muscle Shoals. Chess had been leasing sides since the early 50s (most notably from Sam Phillips at Sun) and merely picked this up for national distribution. However, its success (#1 R&B, #27 pop) - not to mention that of subsequent Atlantic acts (Percy Sledge, Wilson Pickett, and Aretha Franklin) who recorded at Muscle Shoals - encouraged Chess to start recording many of their own artists (particularly Etta James) there. Bobby Moore, incidentally, was bandleader and saxist; the lead vocal was actually by guitarist Chico Jenkins. -- AWR "Searching For My Love" (Bobby Moore) saxes arr. for guitar (played during intro and verses): (E) (A) (E) v v v v v v v v v -----------------|-----------------|---| -----------------|-----------------|---| -----------3-4-5-|-6---------5-6-5-|-4-| -----------5-6-6-|-7---------6-7-7-|-6-| -----------------|-----------------|---| -----------------|-----------------|---| Intro: E A E Searchin', searchin' for my baby, yes I am E A E Searchin', searchin' for my baby, yes I am Verse 1: E A Searchin', searchin' for my baby E A I'm searchin', searchin' for my love E A I'm searchin' for the one I adore E A If I find her you know I will E A I'll never, never let her go no, no, no, no E A No, no, no, no E A I'll never, never let her go, now, baby Verse 2: I love you, I need you I need you by my side For my love, for my true love I'll never, never never hide, now, baby, no, no, no, no No, no, no, no I'll never, never never hide, no no Bridge: A I wonder I wonder why G#m You had to leave me this way A G#m I'm sorry, darling that I made you cry A G#m Forgive me, love, for the things I've done to you A Come along, come along A B A G#m F#m Come along, give me one more try Verse 3: Searchin', baby I'm searchin', searchin' for my love I'm searchin' for the one I adore And if I find her I'll never, never let her go, no no No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no I'll never, never let her go Coda [repeat to fade]: E A (Searchin', searchin' for my baby) -- another ace 60's tab from Andrew Rogers www.TAB6.com
