Get Busy

Sean Paul

Text File

Get Busy is probably Sean Paul's most famous song. it has a repeating chord sequence of > G/E > F#/E > F/E throughout. its the chromatic transition of these chords that gives song its tension-filled, serious sound. On the recording you can hear them being played an organ, but an acoustic guitar will do just fine, provided you have a good strumming This is how I play them: Em G/E F#/E F/E 0 2 2 0 0 0 0 5 5 4 3 X 0 4 4 3 2 X 0 3 3 2 1 X the fingering may look strange, but its a smooth transition going from the G/E > F#/E > since all you're doing is just sliding down the fretboard. In addition to the chords, is a dissonent melody that is played during the intro and the chorus. Again on the recording a keyboard is used, but it sounds pretty cool on an electic guitar with heavy distortion: Em G/E F#/E F/E Q. E E E E E Q. E E E E E e||------------------10----------|----------------------13------| B||--12------11--12------12--11--|--------------10--13------13--| G||------------------------------|--11------10------------------| D||------------------------------|------------------------------| A||------------------------------|------------------------------| E||------------------------------|------------------------------| these 2 bars just repeat over and over. You can mess around in the key of Em like I do create some wicked improvisions. rock on!
