The chords are played staccato and give a really cool intro! CHORUS C#m B A A/F# B/G# But then all they know is how to put you down C#m B A A/F# B/G# When you're there they're your friend, but then when you're not around C#m B A A/F# B/G# They say oh, she's changed, we know what they mean C#m B A Well they mean, they're just jealous, because they'll never do the things A/F# B/G# C#m that they wish that they could do so well Ok, from now on guitar one can either play the same chords softly for verse 2 and the (it changes a bit in verse 3), or you can play an octave for the root of each chord-sounds but isn't! It sounds like that's what the band actually play. Here are the octave chords if you don't know how to play them C#m A B G#m E e|---------------| B|-6-----4-----9-| G|-x-----x-----x-| D|-4--7--2--6--7-| A|----x-----x----| E|----5-----4----| When I play it I normally play a B octave instead of the G#m, it just sounds cooler! But you use sounds fine. (play the normal E one for both E and Emaj7/Eb, and the normal A B ones for A/F# and B/G#) Now for the lead guitar. I'm not sure whether it's a guitar or synthesiser that plays the first chorus, but with enough effects you can play it! So during chorus, one, guitar 2 this: Guitar 2 CHORUS 1 (3 and 4 as well) e|-----9----11----------------9-----------------| B|---9---------12----12----10---10-----10----12-| G|-9-----9--------11-----9----------11----13----| x4 D|----------------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------------| E|----------------------------------------------| This is the same as for chorus 3 and 4 except for one difference, when you play it the time round in each case, you play this: e|-----9----14----------------9-----------------| B|---9---------12----12----10---10-----10----12-| G|-9-----9--------11-----9----------11----13----| D|----------------------------------------------| A|----------------------------------------------| E|----------------------------------------------| (Bear in mind that after the third chorus is played, you just play the chorus 4) Only a very slight difference on tab but all the difference when playing!
