Little Lion Man

Mumford And Sons

Text File

Standard Tuning. (Yes, I know the original doesn't use standard tuning, but this is for those who don't want to re-tune their guitars). Capo at 5th Fret. Chords relative to capo. Intro: Am Am7add11 Am Am7add11 Am Am7add11 } } x 2 C/G Csus2add6/G C/G Csus2add6/G C/G Csus2add6/G } Am Am7add11 Am Amaddb13 Am } } x 2 C/G Csus2add6/G C/G Cadd11/G C/G } (Much easier than the chords names suggest. See the chord definitions below. It's pretty much just Am to C x 4, but you lift your 2nd and 3rd finger off the Am to make the Am7add11 and for C/G to Csus2add6/G, move your 2nd finger from the 4th string 2nd fret to the 3rd string 2nd fret, then back then open 4th for a Csus2/G. When the strumming gets a little more enthusiastic you may hit the 6th string occasionally in which case the Am and Am7add11 would suffix /E as the bass note, but this is a song for raucous enjoyment rather than worrying about the technicalities of what chords you're playing! Listen for the strumming pattern.) Verse 1: Am Weep for yourself, my man, C/G you'll never be what is in your heart. Am Weep little lion man, C/G you're not as brave as you were at the start. G Rate yourself and rake yourself, F Fmaj7b5/E Am7add11 C/G take all the courage you have left. G Wasted on fixing all the F Fmaj7b5/E Am7add11 C/G problems that you made in your own head.
