Question

Moody Blues

Text File

-------------------------------------------------------- I finally figured out the correct chords for this great song by The Moody Blues after watching the DVD "The Moody Blues a Night at the Red Rocks". Hayward plays a Guild 12 string tuned to open C which makes these chord progressions much more playable than other tabs I've seen! Hayward uses his thumb to fret the bass notes and uses double barres with thumb and forefinger to fret the Eb, D and F chords (eg. F - 550555). I play straight barres across the fretboard (555555) with the index finger. The sequence "Why do we never get an answer" with the (C6sus4/C/C6sus4/C) Hayward is just playing open strings (C) and fretting the C6sus4 (000201) on the offbeats. The "tw" and "tn" in the chord diagrams are "twelve" and "ten" respectively. I couldn't figure out how to indicate the 10th fret up on those types of diagrams. I used http://jguitar.com to name the chords. Enjoy! Douglas J.
