Gap In The Fence Intro by Enter Shikari ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Enter Shikari - Gap In The Fence ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tabbed by: Tommy Crawford Email: hamishmcgee[at]gmail[dot]com Ok I think I've figured out the right way to play the main riff, after watching a few live videos. For the Common Dreads album Enter Shikari usually play in Drop C, but I think at least for this acoustic part it's in 1-Step Down, otherwise the bass notes wouldn't work out right. This is what Rou plays: d|----7-----5---------------5---------|----5-----5---------------5---------| A|------8-------8---5---8-------8-----|------8-------8---5---8-------8-----| F|--------0-------0-------0-------0---|--------0-------0-------0-------0---| C|------------------------------------|----0-------0-------0-------0-------| G|----7-------7-------7-------7-------|------------------------------------| D|------------------------------------|------------------------------------| d|----7-----5---------5--------------|----7-----5----------------5---------| A|------8-------8-------8---5---8-----|------8-------8---5---8-------8-----| F|--------0-------0-------0-------0---|--------0-------0-------0-------0---| C|------------------------------------|------------------------------------| G|------------------------------------|----7-------7-------7-------7-------| D|----7-------7-------8-------8-------|------------------------------------| The way Rou plays it is with his 1st finger to play both 5's whenever needed, his 3rd finger for the 7 on the 1st string, 4th finger for the 8, and his 2nd finger for the bass notes. Then Rory comes in with a taping riff something like: d|---------------------------------------------| A|---------------------------------------------| F|----19-0-4-16-17-0-4-19-0-17-0-4-16-17-0-4---| C|---------------------------------------------| G|---------------------------------------------| D|---------------------------------------------| T = Tap with right hand (if you're playing right handed) Not sure if it's exactly right, and he does a lot of variations but that's all I can up with now. I'll try and figure out the rest of the song soon. www.TAB6.com
