Cavity by Boy Sets Fire This is my first tab and it is on a great song from one of the best bands around. The and guitar lines weave in and out making the bass hard to hear in parts. Having two playing doesn’t help either. As noted below, a few parts have strange timing and the way to figure it out is just to listen to the song and play along. Ratings, Comments, Corrections are welcome! Enjoy! :D Hammer on = h Intro G|-7---7-----------| D|---0---0---------| A|-----------------| E|-----------------| He puts his own timing on this part that goes along with the guitar parts. It isn’t difficult to play, but it is best to listen to the song to hear the exact timing. Chorus (x2) G|-7-7--7-5-5--5-4-4--4-2-2--2----7-7--7--5-5--5—4-4--4--------------| D|-------------------------------------------------------77777777----| A|-------------------------------------------------------------------| E|-------------------------------------------------------------------| This part is the most difficult part to hear. The bass fades into the background and is drowned out by the guitar. Both parts of the verse have two tabs, because one is what bassist is most likely playing (from what you can hear) and the second is what matches guitar part for when you can’t hear the bass. Try them both out and see which you prefer. First Part of Verse (x2) “Fall, Kneel, and Beg” G|---------------------------------------| |----------------| D|---------------------------------------| or |----------------| A|-11111111--33333333--55555555-55555555-| |--1----3----5---| E|---------------------------------------| |----------------| Second Part of Verse (x2) G|--------------------------| |-----------------------------| D|--8700--8700--8700--8700--| or |--8755--8755--8700--8700-----| A|--------------------------| |-----------------------------| E|--------------------------| |-----------------------------| Just play these parts as they’re listed above. Chorus “Don’t take this light away…” Verse “So here I am, defiled and divine” Chorus “Don’t take this light away…” This part is easier than it looks, just listen to the timing to play the hammer ons correctly.
